SciAps Z-901 Highest performance LIBS Handheld Analyzer is the ideal instrument for operators that own XRF and want carbon measurements on a periodic basis. Numerous operators possess one or more PMI/NDT XRFs. Their go-to tool for high temperature alloys, residuals, and the following grades of stainless steel: V, Mn, Cr, Ni, Cu, Nb, and Mo are other elements that contribute to carbon equivalents (CE). But carbon equivalents, the ability to distinguish between L- and H-grade stainless steel, or the application of the more accommodating low RE formula (Ni + Cu) <0.15% are all unavailable with XRF. The CSi displays averages as well as numerous readings of silicon and carbon. It complies with guidelines for multi-test averaging that certain pipeline operators and refineries demand. In addition to XRF testing, it provides quick and accurate carbon results at a lesser cost than the whole LIBS system for carbon plus alloys. It is all combined into a single report using SciAps’ cloud-driven data fusion and report production.
The ground-breaking LIBS technology developed by SciAps is currently commonly used in carbon testing.
