Description
Noyes C850 OTDR Compact QUAD OTDR combines a variety of features into a portable test set from AFL that is intended for multimode and single-mode fiber testing and inspection. For testing and troubleshooting enterprise networks, the C850 integrates an OTDR with optical light sources (OLS), an optical power meter (OPM), a visual fault locater (VFL), and inspection capabilities.
With features like the Touch and Test user interface, OTDR Auto modes, OPM Wave ID, and pass/fail thresholds, even inexperienced users can complete tasks fast and accurately since they streamline the user experience and cut down on training time and testing errors. Users are able to bid more aggressively and secure more jobs as a result.
For the purpose of conducting OTDR and loss testing on optical fibers in enterprise networks (campus and buildings), the NOYES C850 OTDRs with Touch and Test® combine capabilities and convenience of use. The same fibers’ OTDR and OPM test results are arranged logically in task folders by cables, making it simple to evaluate, choose, maintain, and generate reports using the included Windows-compatible software.
Pairs of C850s or a C840 can be utilized to conduct bidirectional, dual wavelength Tier 1 tests over two fibers. To determine whether or not a fiber satisfies the requirements for certification, its length and loss can be measured and compared to ISO, TIA, EN, or user standards or applications. Also see the test kits C860 and C880.
